Pamela Benton is dynamic, versatile and one of the finest soloists in the Inland Northwest. She is a singer/songwriter, producer, recording engineer and multi-talented instrumentalist.
Pamela sings and plays live on both the electric violin and lead guitar. Her first CD, Living by the Lake, is an all-original, all-instrumental CD. The music inspired by the gentle serenity of Lake Coeur d'Alene and the beauty that surrounds it. This is truly beautiful music! Categories are Smooth Jazz/Light Jazz, Indie Folk Rock and New Age. The main solo instruments are either electric violin, acoustic , or electric guitar. Her second CD is Give Me Wings, featuring more Indie Folk Rock, Pop Jazz songs that showcase Pamela's vocals.
Pamela's violin is an extension of her soul. She delights audiences wherever she performs, whether singing, playing the violin or guitar.
Pamela was classically trained on the violin and studied classical piano, which she uses to record keyboard arrangements.
Pamela performs on five instruments including electric violin, acoustic violin (for classical projects), guitar lead, rhythm, slide, and finger picking; and mandolin. As well, Pamela teaches violin, mandolin, and guitar. She has performed in more than 10 western states.
Pamela's identical twin sister, Deby Benton Grosjean, is a world renowned Celtic fiddler. Together they have published a Celtic fiddle instruction book called, Fun Celtic Music Series. (see "MUSIC" page for more information). They also have a Celtic fusion band called HoneyBee.
Pamela' performs mostly as either a soloist or invher 5 piece band, Pamela Benton. This 5 piece ensemble features some of the finest musicians in the Pacific Northwest. Please refer to the menu to learn more.
