About ME

Welcome to My Art and Music

Pamela  Benton is dynamic, versatile and one of the finest soloists originating from the San Francisco Bay Area.  She now resides in beautiful Coeur d' Alene Idaho. Pamela is a singer/songwriter, producer, recording engineer and multi-talented instrumentalist.

Pamela sings and plays live on both the electric violin and lead guitar.  Her first CD, Living by the Lake, is an all-original, all-instrumental CD that has "smooth and easy" instrumentals.  It has been described as relaxing and easy on the  ears. Categories are Smooth Jazz/Light Jazz, Indie Folk Rock and New Age.  The main solo instruments are either electric violin, acoustic , or electric  guitar.  Her second CD is Give Me Wings, featuring more Indie Folk Rock and Smooth Jazz songs that showcase Pamela's vocals.

Pamela's violin is an extension of her soul.   She delights audiences wherever she performs, whether singing, playing the violin or guitar.  The music from her first CD is inspired by the  gentle serenity of Lake Coeur d'Alene and the beauty that surrounds it.  This is truly beautiful music!

Pamela was classically trained on the  violin and studied classical piano, which she uses to record keyboard sequenced arrangements.  She has performed in more than 10 western states.

Pamela performs on five instruments including electric violin, acoustic violin (for classical projects),  guitar lead, rhythm, slide, and finger picking; and mandolin.  As well, Pamela teaches violin, mandolin, and guitar.

Pamela's identical twin sister, Deby Benton Grosjean, is a world renowned Celtic fiddler. Together they have published a Celtic fiddle instruction book called, Fun Celtic Music Series. (see  "MUSIC" page for more information).  They also have a Celtic fusion band called HoneyBee.

Pamela's smooth jazz band is P.B. & Jam, a five piece ensemble featuring some of the finest musicians in the Pacific Northwest...
